New York University

New York University (NYU), founded in 1831, is one of the largest private universities in the United States and is member of Association of American Universities. At present, there are more than 40,000 students enrolled in 14 schools and colleges at five major centers at Manhattan and in more than 25 countries around the world. Washington Square Campus is the center of NYU in the heart of Greenwich Village.

NYU also operates branch campus programs in Westchester County at Manhattan Ville College and in Rockland County at St. Thomas Aquinas College. University offers more than 2,500 courses and award more than 25 different degrees. In the undergraduate division of the University, the enrollment ranges between 100 and 6,500 with 1:11 student/faculty ratio. There are 8 schools devoted to undergraduate education. Students at NYU can change their academic paths by transferring to another college within the University. The different undergraduate programs offered are: Anthropology, Applied Psychological Studies, Art and Art Profession, Childhood Education, Comparative Literature, Communication Studies etc.

New York University offers graduate studies in arts and sciences, and professional degrees in the field of law, medicine, education, dentistry, public administration, business, social work, and the arts at different schools & colleges like College of Dentistry, College of Nursing, Gallatin School of Individualized Study, School of Law, School of Medicine, and the Steinhardt School of Education etc.
