Columbia University

Columbia University, founded in 1754, is the oldest institution of higher learning in the states of New York and fifth oldest in the US. Columbia University is a great center of research and distinctive and distinguished learning environment for under-graduate and graduate students in various scholarly and professional fields like medicine, science, arts, and the humanities. Columbia University includes three undergraduate schools, thirteen graduate and professional schools, and a school of continuing education.

At Columbia University, there are more than 4000 faculty members and 23,000 students engaging with each other and with cultural, scientific and business enterprises. The undergraduate schools are Columbia College, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. For students having interruption in their education, they can join the Schools of General Studies to resume their studies. The various graduate schools are the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, Graduate School of Journalism, the School of International Public Affairs, the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, the Columbia Law School, the Columbia University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. Some of the Affiliated Schools are Barnard School, Jewish Theological Seminary, Teachers College and Union Theological Seminary.
